Desh ke lal

Hey hii my friends,on this auspicious day I wish you a very happy 150th gandhi jayanti.But i still want to ask you what is today, that is on 2 nd of October? I know you all will be thinking that this guy is gone mad.But I am sure that many of you don't know that today is Birth anniversary of Shri lal bahadur shastri ji too.Yes my dear friend,a great freedom fighter,our 2 nd prime minister shastri ji.It is going to be very difficult for me to pay respect to such a great personality in a single blog.

Shastri ji was born to shri. Sharda prasad srivastava and Smt. Ramdulari Devi on 2nd October 1904 in Mughalsarai which is in today's uttar pradesh.His father was a clerk . Unfortunately he died in 1906 due to bubonic plague when shastri ji was only a year and half years old.Later shastri ji's mother along with shastri ji's siblings moved to her father's home where shastri ji was raised.Tougher situations makes a person even tougher ,i think this is not an exception to shastri ji.
Lal bahadur shastri ji belonged to a hindu family.But he was strictly against cast system and decided to drop his surname 'srivastava'.He became graduate in kashi vidyapeeth, Varanasi in 1925. Shastri ji graduated with a first-class degree in philosophy and ethics. He was given a title SHASTRI means scholar due to his extraordinary intelligence.Later this title became his surname.Shastri ji was greatly influenced by Gandhiji and his ideology.Shastriji actively participated in movements like non cooperation movement,quit india movement,salt satyagrah.And you better know if you are with gandhiji ,jail is going to be your second home.इतिहास गवाह है भाई.Shastri ji spent 9 years of his life in jail before independence.

But this was just a trailer of shastri ji's capabilty ,best was yet to come in future.Till now we discussed on how a child became freedom fighter,further we will see shastri ji as a leader of nation.As previously said it is difficult to sketch shastri ji in single blog so in upcoming blog i will reveal why shastri ji is desh ke lal .At the end of this blog i want to share incidence of shastri ji's childhood that will show how great he was.

"Shastri ji's school was on opposite side of ganga river.At that time there were no bridges,buses.Only way to go on other side was by boat.Shastri ji's financial condition was weak and he couldn't afford boat.Shastri swim Ganges twice a day to attend school and tied books on the top of the head."
This was his passion and hunger to learn .From this we should take inspiration and become determinant to achieve our goals.
